MOBILE CRISIS RESPONSE TEAMS (MCeRT)
(All Life Help Counties)

The goal of MCeRT is to respond in a timely manner to the individual where he or she is experiencing the mental health crisis or meet the individual at a designated location such as a local hospital. The MCeRT clinician can facilitate admission to a Crisis Stabilization Unit or a hospital if needed. They will also provide mental health follow-up after a crisis has been resolved so as to reduce the chance of further crisis. Without mobile crisis intervention, an individual experiencing a crisis may be unnecessarily placed in jail, holding facility, hospital, or inpatient treatment program. MCeRT teams work hand-in-hand with local law enforcement, Chancery Judges and Clerks, and the Crisis Stabilization Units to ensure a seamless process.
Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, call 1-866-453-6216
for more information about accessing this service.

CRISIS STABILIZATION UNITS
(All Mississippi Counties)

Life Help has two 16 bed inpatient units, the Grenada Crisis Stabilization Unit located in Grenada, Mississippi, and Capps Crisis Stabilization Unit located in Cleveland, Mississippi. These facilities offer treatment closer to the client’s primary support system. Individual and group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management are included. The inpatient stay is brief, with the purpose of stabilizing the crisis and bridging the client into outpatient treatment.
