Our Community Residential Services

Life Help offers two types of community residential service, Supervised Living and Supported Living. Our Supervised Living facilities are designed to serve individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or those with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Our Supported Living facilities are designed to serve those with Serious Mental Illness. These services are described below.

SUPERVISED LIVING
(Facilities are located in Bolivar, Leflore & Washington Counties)

The main purpose of the Supervised Living Program is to provide a therapeutic homelike setting that is in operation seven days a week with round the clock supervision. These homes are located in Bolivar, Leflore and Washington Counties. Each program provides assistance with all activities of daily living including money management.  Supervised living individuals participate in daily skills training situations, such as meal preparation, care of linens and clothes, medication management, grooming skills, social skills, general housekeeping skills and maintenance skills. The primary goal of this program is to prepare the individuals for independent living.

SUPPORTED LIVING
(Facilities are located in Bolivar, Holmes, Leflore &  Sharkey Counties)

The main purpose of Supported Living Services is to provide individuals with safe and affordable housing options in Bolivar, Holmes, Leflore, and Sharkey Counties. This program is designed for persons diagnosed as seriously mentally ill and who are capable of living on their own through the support of the community mental health center.  The individuals living in the program are assisted by apartment managers and other staff who help the residents with all activities of daily living, such as grocery shopping, general housekeeping, money management and personal hygiene.  The primary goal of this program is to provide residents the opportunity to experience the full freedom of autonomous living, while knowing that mental health assistance is available to help sustain them in the community
